Climbing Mag Web Gallery

This is the link to the gallery on climbing.com. All photos by Dean Fleming, 40 rad shots of Columbia! I will also note that a lot of these photos are of newer problems put up post guidebook release. And we will be posting up the beta on these new classic lines; when I get around to it ;). So stay tuned for that…I would also like to note that this freezing cold weather means really good bouldering conditions here. The boulders also seem to dry out a lot faster when the weather is like this, so we have been able to get right back out there after these storms.

Climber’s Clean-up Cancelled

Well, the forecast is looking pretty bad for tomorrow, so picking up trash all day will not be fun. Sorry for the late notice on this post. We’ll keep you updated if we try to re-schedule. In better news it looks like we will have some good weather after this storm! So hopefully we can get out and send some stuff.

Climber’s Clean-up

As you might of heard we are hosting the first annual climber’s clean-up for the Columbia area on Saturday November 27th. We will be meeting at the Columbia State Park, in the main parking lot at 9 am. As of now the weather looks like it will be good enough to pick up trash, so we are still on unless it turns for the worst. Our objective is to clean out as much trash as possible that has been collecting out there for the last forty years. Hope to see you all there!

Hoedown

The problem on the left is called Hoedown V9. It starts underneath the roof on two underclings and climbs out rails and incut holds to the fins in the photo, and then tops out on the shelf. The rock isn’t the best quality and it is a bit of an ass dragger but the moves are fun. The problem on the right is an Unnamed V2 that is probably the best V2 in all of Columbia and is definitely worth checking out. Sit start this line and enjoy unique moves up to an excellent mantle.
